In 2015, I decided to make a trip to the Middle East. After having read about Istanbul in The Prince of India, and having dreamt of the mysterious city for many years, I bought my ticket. It was an enchanting place to say the least - vibrant and full of color. The Bosporus flowed turquoise blue between Asia and Europe, and I found myself crossing leisurely back and forth between both sides. For one week, I explored the sites, entering as deep as I could to experience the profound nature of art and devotion combined in a world of prayer, tiles, vaults, and calligraphy. The journey left me at want for more, and I'll certainly make the return trip to experience, at least once more, the City of the Worlds.
