I have had the opportunity to visit India on two separate occasions. The first was in 2010. I had started a philanthropic clothing company and had the shirts manufactured in a small town called Tirupur. The trip opened my eyes to the beauty of a world unlike I had ever seen before. Soon, I was steeped in masala chai, in the temples of Tamil Nadu, in the backwaters of Kerala, and in the hill stations tucked quietly in-between the two. The trip inspired me to continue my studies and pursue a Master's degree in Comparative Theology. Three years later, I returned to the north, where I visited Delhi, Jaipur, and Varanasi. For a second time, my heart was opened to the vastness of spirit, and I was pulled deeper into myself, and into those subtle realizations that occur only in essence.
